In
volatile economic situations, technology as an industry is often perceived to
be a saviour. Over the last one year, technology jobs in all of the United
States have grown at a rate that is four times faster than that of the overall
rate of new job generation.
Furthermore, the exponential
growth of the technology industry has made it possible for job seekers to scout
areas other than Silicon Valley, which as a matter of fact is now quite
saturated a job market.
Tech jobs in Indianapolis for example, have exhibited the 11th
highest growth rate in the nation. With a number of small and big companies
setting base in downtown Indianapolis, job seekers have the chance to leverage
job options in cloud based service providers, software development companies
and internet firms.

Even though Silicon Valley is
still the Mecca for venture capitalists and innovation in the field of
information technology, it has not been able to sustain the generation of new
employment in technology.
In contrast to this, other cities
that have been top performers in the field of technology have also managed to
bring in jobs gain quite consistently over the last ten years. Indianapolis jobs have made it to the
top fifteen tech job markets in America. Other regions which have exhibited
similar growth are – Jacksonville, FA, Washington D.C, San Bernardino-
Riverside, CA, San Diego, CA and Orlando, FA.
Experts suggest that the growth
of hi-tech research and educational facilities in this field will act as a
direct influence on the growth of IT sectors in these markets. Furthermore,
with sales in the IT sector sky rocketing, tech companies in cities like
Indianapolis are constantly looking for young and energetic employees.
Even the smaller information
technology service providers are now moving to downtown Indianapolis and
preparing to go on a hiring spree to leverage the growth in this industry.
